Adobe's mobile world has exploded out from the nucleus. This video highlights the creative process of compositing an image from Adobe's latest mobile applications. All the apps link to the core of the creative cloud and expand the possibilities of how the digital artist creates images.
To celebrate Photoshops 20 year anniversary, Adobe challenged us to do anything we wanted as long as we used the tag line "The World Without Photoshop" in what we did. Since digital publishing had just emerged, we decided to an interactive tablet based experienced. One of the first ever done on the Adobe DPS platform - It has been dowloaded in 65 countries by more than 150,000 people.
Adobe's big push into the app world began with these 3 apps which featured technology that allowed them to communicate with photoshop. We were tasked with doing not only the 3 sizzle reels for each but also the UI for Adobe Eazel from which we were awarded a patent for multiple finger gesture-based interaction.
This was a large project done for Adobe. It included devising a series of templates in inDesign that contributors could work with, add their own tutorials and submit to be included in the next free iPad edition. Having conceived the format around a swap meet, we illustrated, animated and created 7 different interactive templates around the Adobe digital Publishing suite. We also created the app icon.
As a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Photoshop, Adobe's famed creative director and Photoshop evangelist, Russell Brown, turned to long-time collaborators, Marcolina Design, Inc. Together the 2 blended analog and digital effects along with tongue-in-cheek humor to lead the viewer through a zany history of the 12 releases of Photoshop and Russell's favorite features.
